Shomray Torah Society

Hebrew Academy's scholarship fund.

As we celebrate our 44nd Anniversary Year and enter our fifth decade, we are all proud to be connected to this dynamic, exceptional school. Each year, Bet Shraga Hebrew Academy of the Capital District continues to grow and to meet the challenges of providing a vibrant, first-rate education in both Jewish and general academic studies.

We are especially privileged to have been given this opportunity to invite you to play a vital role in ensuring that we can continue to meet high academic standards and continuation of the Jewish people, one child at a time.  Everyday, we see our children develop into proud and knowledgeable young people with a love of Judaism and intellectually questioning minds. We are committed to guaranteeing that this same exceptional educational experience is available to every interested Jewish child in our community, regardless of family income.

The Shomray Toray Society scholarship fund is that guarantee. Each year the gifts made to the Shomray Torah Society afford about one-third of our students the opportunity to attend our wonderful school – an opportunity that they otherwise would not have had. Unfortunately we are not always able to provide the tuition assistance needed for every child.  These lost opportunities break our hearts and disappoint families.  That is where you come in!

What greater gift can you give a child than to learn about life through Hebrew Academy's exceptional educational experience.  Your Shomray Torah Society contribution is the privilege of becoming true Guardians of the Torah.  Won’t you join us in our commitment to double last year’s success – and ensure that our children, grandchildren, nieces, nephews and neighbors will also celebrate Bet Shraga’s 50th, 60th, and beyond!
