Cultivating the Jewish Spirit

A primary goal of Jewish day school education is to install a love of Judaism and a lifelong commitment to Jewish living. At the Hebrew Academy, students practice the beauty of living Judaism through the mitzvot of prayer, Torah study and Kashrut. Celebrating Shabbat and holidays, and learning the importance of the State of Israel are central to the Hebrew Academy experience.

Discussing Jewish values and showing concern for others are also of primary importance, both at school and in the community. The practice of tzedakah and gemilut chasadim – charitable acts of loving kindness – are integral parts of the school’s curriculum.
