Community Support
Support

Since its founding four decades ago, Bet Shraga Hebrew Academy of the Capital District has been the beneficiary of ongoing gifts of community philanthropy. The United Jewish Federation of Northeastern New York and its Endowment Fund provide major annual support. Additional support is provided through the Shomray Torah Society and the Scholarship Yearbook Program. Major endowment funds have been created by Irving Kirsch in honor of Sidney Albert, and by George and Clarice Silverstein, the Hershberg family, Joan and Jack Rosenblum, Henry and Harry Schaeffer, Louis and Doris Bernstein, Dr. and Mrs. Charles Schiffer, the Pozner family, the Judkowitz family, Donald LedDuke, Eve Kneznek, Ruth Laven, and Sidney and Beatrice Albert. Other funds were created to honor the memory of esteemed friends and support particular programming including Cultural Arts, Music, the Library and student support services.
